High Holiday Tickets 2020 (Non-Members)


  • Dear attendee,

    Chabad of Markham will be offering the following FOUR SERVICE OPTIONS for our community over the High Holidays.

    Needless to say, we will ensure that all government and other health restrictions will be observed to make the services as safe and healthy as possible.

    While seats will not be reserved this year, reservations for any particular service must be made in advance.  Colour coded tickets will be mailed out.  You will not be allowed in to these services without these tickets.

    We will try our best to accommodate everyone who purchases tickets.  It is on a first-come first-serve basis.  Space is extremely limited. 

    There will be 4 SERVICE OPTIONS (Please select only one type per person for the entire duration of the High Holidays ):

    An Indoor Service  - in the main sanctuary

    An Outdoor Service - this will be open air (no tent) however there will be a covered area available for the elderly and in case of inclement weather.

    A Fast Track Outdoor ( SOLD OUT ) - this will be open air (no tent), however there will be a covered area available for the elderly and in case of inclement weather.

    Family/Children Service - this is the only service where children are welcome with their families.  This will be open air (no tent), however there will be a covered area available in case of inclement weather. (By RSVP at )

    Please refer to the schedule below to help you choose and to navigate the High Holidays at Chabad of Markham.

    In order to ensure we stay within the limits of attendees allowed, we require each person to indicate which parts of the RSVP services they will be attending (ie. Mussaf, Shofar Blowing, Kol Nidre, etc.)

    • Covid Waiver 

      We require each attendee to High Holiday Services to register in our registry and submit the waiver.

      We ask all those attending our services to please adhere to the following rules.

      1. Seats will be marked off so that the correct social distancing space is kept between congregants. No chairs are to be moved.

      2. It is mandatory to wear a mask while on the shul property, both indoors and outdoors.

      3. Upon entering the building there will be sanitizer to wash ones hands.

      4. Every congregant should bring their own prayer books.

      5. There will be no kissing of the Torah.

      6. When one is called up to the Torah they are to make a blessing in front of the Torah without touching it, return to their seat and stand for the duration of the Aliyah and then return to the Torah for the final blessing.

      7. Services will be as short as possible.

      8. There will be no children's program.

      9. Restrooms are now open and are cleaned and sanitized between uses.

      10. Anyone sneezing coughing or showing any symptoms of sickness should stay home.

      11. Anyone with compromised health conditions should refer to a doctor before coming.

      12. Doors will be left open to avoid touching doorknobs and for better circulation of air. Do not close them.

      13. Security of building will be reinstated.

      All congregants planning on attending, must register and submit the waiver using the form below!

      Please register yourself and any family members who will be attending for the High Holidays. 

    • WAIVER 

      Chabad Lubavitch of Markham Member(s) and/or Guest(s) [named above] agree/s that their participation in services/events at Chabad Lubavitch of Markham is entirely voluntary.  Furthermore, the Member(s) and/or Guest(s) agree/s to assume any and all risks associated with being infected with Covid-19 while participating in services and/or being on the Chabad Lubavitch of Markham property.  The Member(s) and/or Guest(s) hereby release/s Chabad Lubavitch of Markham, Rabbis & Rebbetzins, employees, Board Members, any other staff and volunteers from any and all claims of loss or damage that may arise while attending our facility associated with Covid-19 only.

      Personal Well Being

      The Member(s) and/or Guest(s) hereby warrant/s that they are healthy, are not suffering from and/or presenting with any Covid-19 symptoms, and that no members of their household are suffering from symptoms of Covid-19, nor have they travelled to Chabad Lubavitch of Markham with a person who is not a member of their household.  Member(s) and/or Guest(s) hereby agrees, if so requested, to have their temperature taken upon arrival at Chabad Lubavitch of Markham and answer all required questions, truthfully. Not being requested to have their temperature taken expressly does not void this waiver of liability.

      Right to Deny Entry

      Chabad Lubavitch of Markham maintains the right to deny any Member(s) and/or Guest(s) the right to enter the facility if he/she is presenting with any symptoms of Covid-19.

      Applicable Law

      This waiver agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.


      The Member(s) and/or Guest(s) agrees that this waiver agreement shall remain in full force and effect, and that entry onto the Chabad Lubavitch of Markham Property is conditional upon agreeing to the terms of this agreement.

      By acknowledging this waiver, Member(s) and/or Guests agree and understand that they are waiving certain of their legal rights.

      Before signing the said agreement or in the case of online registration, the Member(s) and/or Guest(s), hereby acknowledges he/she has had the opportunity to seek Independent Legal Advice before signing the Waiver herein.
