Yizkor Memorial Book 2020

  • It is a Jewish tradition to honour the memory of our loved ones in our thoughts and prayers, as well as through acts of charity.  The memorial service called "Yizkor" - to remember - is part of the prayer services four times during the year (Pesach, Shavuot, Yom Kippur & Sukkot).  The virtue of pledging charity during Yizkor creates an opportunity for the souls of our loved ones to be connected with us through tangible acts of goodness and kindness.  One way to honour this tradition is through the publishing of a Yizkor Memorial Book .

Chabad of Markham is endeavoring to publish a new edition.  The new Yizkor book will completely replace the ones we have had in the past, thus giving all of our members and friends the opportunity to include the names of all their loved ones who have passed. This new edition will be ready for Passover, and will be used at all our Yizkor services for the next two years.
